A tiny tiny projector!

Here's a micro projector that you can slip into your pocket. It's small, portable, and runs for two hours on batteries. When you take it out, it can throw up to a 60" image from 8 feet away! You can project movies and shows from your iphone/ipod (or a slideshow from your laptop/ipod). It's awesome! They are trying to integrate the technology into cell phones--the possibilities are endless! I'm wracking my brains to think of people I know in Japan.... as Engadget is reporting that it's being released there in less than a month!

After the last couple days

I think we all need one of these

If only mutually comforting squids were part of the economic bailout package for our citizens

Fiat Lux!!!!

So I'm starting to feel the effects of basically non-stop rains here in the Pacific Northwest. I don't know how people do it. There's a store that sells "living" products to old people in the mall near where I'm living. The store sells reacher prongs, walkers, electric scooters, bedpans... the like. But it also has a whole display of "light therapy" products. I walk by this store to get to my Post Office box. Today I was drawn in like moth to a flame (or, more precisely, wet anthropologist trying to get out of the rain).

we all need this!

Reading is cool... or so we tell ourselves

of course, it's because this is what I spent my childhood looking like... sans hedgehog

I'll have some coffee to go please....

What's not to love about a coffee cup made of porcelain that looks like a disposable paper coffee cup? DCI's "I am not a paper cup..." is just too much fun to pass up. I have to confess that I didn't post here then go and buy it... rather I'm drinking my tea from it as I type this review. The question is... do I need more than one?

Purely weird... and yet intellectually intriguing

Etsy currently has 51 items tagged with "fetus" and while some are clear in their politics and some are purely for expectant parents, some I'm not quite sure of

Like this one which is both snarky and not

And then there's just a slew of interesting and ambiguous art pieces which make me wonder if I, with my fetus art collection is not running out and buying them, who is? I may snag the blackberrying fetus to use in my lecture about constructed social lives for fetuses.
